Over 60% of the older population in Great Britain is at risk of malnutrition while in hospital. Protected meal times in a safe and social environment can improve wellbeing and patient nourishment.
Through mapping the complex systems in hospital, conceptualising the problem, facilitating a patient centred approach and collective mind-shifting we created a product service solution for hospital ward environments. We designed new multifunctional screens to improve living quality in hospital through more comfort, privacy, independence and interaction. And a volunteer programme to support the care process and provide personal assistance and social interaction.
